Mix tapes have always been an integral part of NYC’s underground culture and burgeoning music scene, and as such, Mishka is proud to carry on the tradition with the launch of Keep Watch. Featuring top DJs hailing from every genre and geographic corner, Mishka’s Keep Watch party-mixes celebrates one of the most widely practiced American art forms. Released bi-monthly with an accompanying party to boot, the mixes will be available for free download through mishkanyc.com and iTunes.
To kick off the Keep Watch series, we have invited our Canadian friends, Jokers of the Scene (JOTS), to put together something special just for you. I like this track which was remixed by Hensforth. It is a real interesting take on the DJ Shadow’s Midnight In A Perfect World. (1996) Take a listen for yourself, sounds like Hensforth really know how to take a jelly and make it a jam. Both versions are amazing!

This is definately one of the most fantastically cheesy videos I’ve seen in a while, but I’ll tell you what, Minitel Rose is serioius! These “three french boys back from the future” crank up spaced out electro jams that just may be the next big thing.
